These standards are primarily designed around two ISO guidance documents: ISO/IEC Guide 25-1990: "General Requirements for the Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories", and ISO/IEC Guide 58: "Calibration and Testing Laboratory Accreditation Systems-General Requirements for Operation and Recognition".

This along with the escalation of public health concerns and the promotion of a greener outlook means we have witnessed a massive increase in the testing and reporting requirements of the modern day laboratory.
