QUALITY ANALYSIS CONSULTANTS
A ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON QUALITY CONTROL / QUALITY ASSURANCE AT THE LABORATORY BENCH You are invited to inquire about the above workshop which is designed to give people at the laboratory bench the necessary tools and encouragement to perform their own Quality Control duties and to understand how they fit into an overall Quality Assurance Program. It covers the requirements laboratories must meet to achieve ISO/IEC Standard 17025 accreditation. The topics covered include a review of the simple statistical concepts required followed by discussions of experiment/analytical run designs that allow precision and accuracy measurement and control to result from the process with a minimal amount of effort and expense. There is a liberal use of examples of real data sets from industry and government laboratories to construct a variety of range control charts and Shewhart control charts with a discussion of their applications and interpretation. The workshop has been attended by many laboratory personnel from industry, government and commercial laboratories who perform analysis on environmental, geological, industrial and many other types of samples. Analysts from Lakefield Research, Noranda, Inco, the Manitoba Ministry of Environment, the Ontario Geological Survey and others have found the workshop to be very valuable. Don't miss out on an opportunity to become acquainted with the simple but effective steps that can improve the reliability and efficiency of any organization involved in measurement processes. The workshop runs from 0900 to 1600 with a lunch break. Time is available at the end for discussion and questions. Questions during the presentation are encouraged. Given by: Dr. Wesley M.
